Where it's found: Lining of canned food, thermal paper receipts, some rigid plastic containers, bottle caps and capsules.
Suspected mechanism: Bisphenol A binds to estrogen receptors and may disrupt oocyte maturation and sperm production.
Suggested alternative: Decline paper receipts when possible, prefer glass jars or plain frozen vegetables over canned food.
